Have you ever wanted to know what the fuck Berserk is about without actually reading/watching it? I super don't blame you because it's a Lot in many ways! That's where this handy dandy summary comes in.

I've done my best to remove most of the gratuitous and unnecessary content warning worthy stuff, but unfortunately some of it is pretty intrinsic to the plot. The following summary contains mentions of sexual assault, rape, murder/death, suicidal intentions, and pedophilia, so please tread carefully!

Berserk is, at its core, the story of how much depressing stuff has to happen to one big buff guy until he just straight up rages so hard he tries to fight God. It turns out that you can definitely make that happen in the case of our main character, Guts

GOLDEN AGE ARC

In true early 90's edgy seinen manga style, Guts's mother gave birth to him as she was dying from being hung on a tree in the middle of nowhere. For what reason, you ask? Who knows! Either way, a just-birthed baby Guts laid on the ground under this tree crying until a band of mercenaries came on by; the leader of this band of mercenaries, Gambino, had a wife who had just recently miscarried. Hearing the cries of the baby, she picked him up and took him in, nursing and raising him.

If you haven't guessed already, having a caring mother would have been way too nice for this poor unfortunate soul. Which means that after a few years of raising him, she died of illness, leaving Guts behind to a band of mercenaries that honestly could not give a single fuck about him, his adoptive father included. Gambino used Guts as his errand boy and treated him pretty poorly (to the point where even the other mercenaries were like, dude, he's your kid, maybe you should ease up a little bit??). But he did teach Guts how to use a sword. Despite being a small child, he was able to wield an adult-sized sword, paving the way for even more ridiculous huge swords later in the series.

During an incident at one of the battles they were paid to fight at, Gambino lost a leg, causing him to significantly slow down and be kind of bad at the only thing he was actually good at, which was killing people. In the meantime, Guts stepped up to the plate and started getting better and better at being a mercenary in his own right (which, why people were totally chill with paying like, a ten year old boy to murder people I don't know, but whatever). Gambino got extremely jealous and started being even shittier (we didn't think this was possible, but it sure was) by doing horrible things like selling him to another (pedophile) mercenary for the night without telling him, and eventually just straight up trying to murder him in his sleep.

Guts woke up in time to defend himself from being murdered, but accidentally killed Gambino in the process. Since none of the other mercenaries had much sympathy for this poor child who just wanted his dad to love him, he went on the run to get away from being punished for murder in self defense.

On his own, Guts was able to scrape by on mercenary jobs for the next few years, never joining a band of mercenaries and just working alone. (After that incident who could blame the kid, tbh!!!) One fateful day, he was doing his thing at a castle siege and made a spectacular show of killing a guy in armor who was way bigger and stronger than him, catching the attention of the Band of The Hawk, a band of mercenaries led by Griffith.

After the battle, some of the Band of the Hawk members (who had been defending the castle against the siege Guts had been supporting) spotted him walking down the road and decided to attack him for killing some of their men. Guts made short work of them, forcing them to bring their second best fighter to the plate, Casca. A woman warrior? GASP! She does her best, but Guts is still able to overpower her, when Griffith shows up to obliterate his ass.

However, instead of killing him, he offers Guts a position as a mercenary in the Band of the Hawk. Guts doesn't take very kindly to this, having all the sensibilities of a feral wild animal, and challenges Griffith to a duel. Griffith is extremely interested in Guts and kicks his ass until Guts agrees to join them, quickly promoting him to Captain of the Raiders.

Casca, who is the other Captain, does not take kindly to Guts at all. She has a huge crush on Griffith and will do anything for him after he saved her from yet another pedophile who bought her from her family, giving her a sword to defend herself. The fact that Griffith is more interested in Guts than her really rustles her jimmies, and she spends the next several years yelling at him for anything and everything (some of which is perfectly justified, given how much of an idiot and a risk taker Guts is). Guts, on the other hand, learns what it's like to be around people who don't fucking hate him (except for Casca) and actually grows to care about the other mercenaries in the Band of the Hawk, including Griffith.

Griffith shares with him that he has the goal of ruling over a land himself, a dream which sounds totally ludicrous given pretty much everyone in the mercenary band are a bunch of peasants. But he's really sparkly and cool looking, so Guts sort of feels like he might actually be capable of going pretty far! He feels included and like Griffith kinda values him, which is weird. Griffith also shares with him that he got this really cool necklace from some fortune teller lady and it's supposed to be a charm of protection. It's actually just creepy and a tool to do some of the most heinous shit imaginable, not that Griffith knows that-- but we'll get there.

Fast forward a few years and the Band of the Hawk is more successful than ever, thanks to our main trio of characters. They're all really good fighters and man, does Griffith have some extremely good luck as far as knowing how to be in the right place at the right time! The King of Midland is so desperate to have some forces that aren't complete bozos in stupid looking outfits to back him up in this upcoming war that he actually promotes the Band of the Hawk to be a for-realsies army under the Crown, much to the dismay of a bunch of scheming court assholes.

There are a couple of important things that happen during these years: First of all, Guts and Griffith square off against an actual, literal demon named Zodd (up until this point, everyone pretty much agrees that demons and stuff are just things of legend), who says to Guts as he flies away "If you can be said to be a true friend of this man, then take heed... When his ambition collapses, death will pay you a visit! A death you can never escape!"

Totally not ominous at all. Not even a little bit!

After this incident, as Griffith begins to transcend even further upwards to a place where "normal" people can't touch: Guts and Casca actually, finally, stop bickering all the goddamn time! Guts saves her life after she falls off a cliff, and she finally opens up to him a little bit about where she came from and what Griffith means to her. They both bond a little bit over how untouchable Griffith feels, how out of their grasp he seems to be anymore.

Griffith starts using Guts to take care of some of his dirty work, being the only one he trusts wholeheartedly. He uses Guts to start murdering some of the nobles that are plotting against him (some of which have now tried to assassinate him, even putting the princess in danger to do so) in order to protect his position. This is kind of a mistake because a huge, muscular dude with an 800-foot-long sword is basically the opposite of stealthy, but it still gets the job done.

Speaking of the princess, Griffith starts spending more time with her. If he's going to make it to the top, he's going to have to marry the Princess, and since the King already likes him so much, it should be a piece of cake to sweep her off her feet and show her that he's Not Like Those Other Guys. While talking to the Princess about his dreams and ambitions, Guts and Casca overhear him telling Princess Charlotte that any man worthy of being his friend is someone who wouldn't be beholden to his dream -- someone who has their own dream, even if it opposes his.

Well, Guts has gained enough emotional maturity to realize that he wants to meet Griffith on equal grounds as a friend, rather than just being his soldier.  He takes a long time to think about it, but realizes that in order to formulate his own dream in order to actually be Griffith's equal and friend, he needs to leave and take some time to think about what he actually wants in life. Here's the problem: Griffith and Guts are both dudes who don't know how to communicate feelings, and Griffith is a creepy, possessive asshole who thinks he owns Guts and probably also that no one is actually his equal. Less of a problem is Casca, who's actually grown quite fond of Guts by now and doesn't want him to leave because she will miss him.

Guts tries to leave, and Griffith insists that they have a duel for Guts to win his freedom, confident that he will kick Guts's ass once more. But, surprise! Guts has actually surpassed Griffith, and Griffith gets his ass whooped. Guts leaves to go to a good ol' training in the forest montage for a year, leaving the Band of the Hawk behind ... which, unfortunately, is a huge mistake. Guts mistakenly thinks that now that they've reached such heights, nothing can take them down -- but actually, his leaving is the unfortunate catalyst that signals the beginning of the end.

Griffith, in his possessive sorrow/rage, sneaks into the Princess's bedroom that night and has sex with her (consensually! Wow!). Unfortunately, a maid overhears them and tips off the guard, who are waiting for him when he exits her room the next morning. He is immediately arrested and put in a dungeon, where the King decides to have him tortured 5ever. The Band of the Hawk gets lured into a trap in the meanwhile, with the intention of murdering every single one of them now that Griffith is imprisoned. Luckily, thanks to Casca's quick thinking, many of them escape and go into hiding, plotting their next move and how to get Griffith out of jail.

Mr. Oblivious (aka Guts) has been training in the forest by himself for a year now, where not much news actually reaches. However, he overhears a traveling salesman mention something about how the Band of the Hawk has a female leader now and that the original leader is gone, which of course piques his curiosity. He decides to go find them to see what's up. Fortunately, he finds his way to their base right as they're under attack by some other mercenaries, dispelling the attackers with ease. Most of the Band of the Hawk is SUPER happy to see him and explain the situation, to which he agrees to help out if they'll have him (but only help out, and then he's going back to his quest of self discovery!).

Casca, on the other hand, doesn't seem too happy to see him. In fact, she actually blames him for Griffith's self-destructive behavior and tries to fight him in her despair. Guts doesn't understand why she's trying to kill him, and eventually gets her to stop attacking him, trying to get her to talk about it. It turns out that Casca is so tired from carrying the team that she honestly just wants to die, and she almost succeeds -- Guts grabs her as she falls from a cliff and saves her. Unsure of how else to comfort her, he kisses her -- and, desperately in need of comfort, Casca kisses him back, they make out, and they have sex (although not before Guts has a panic attack remembering the horrible things that were done to him as a child). Guts pledges to bring Casca with him after they rescue Griffith so the two of them can live together.

The two of them make their way back to camp, now ready to try and rescue Griffith. Casca has some intel about where he's being held, and fortunately, the princess is willing to help them rescue him. They fight their way into a deep, creepy underground dungeon where Griffith is being held, and finally are able to break into his cell. There's just one problem: in his time being tortured in jail, Griffith has become a complete shell of his former self. His protective charm necklace is missing, his tongue's been cut out, he's been starved, the tendons in his wrists and ankles have been cut, and more -- he's basically unable to function on his own at this point beyond laying at the floor and staring at stuff. Horrified, Guts and Casca bring him out of the dungeon to a safer place, where they hope they can try and get things back to normal ... knowing they can't, really.

Griffith has noticed that everyone pities him, that Guts and Casca have something going on, and most importantly: his ambition is now toast. We witness the pathetic death throes of a man who was so used to being in charge trying to have some semblance of control over the people he once manipulated with no trouble, and he sinks further and further into despair as he sees that nothing he does matters anymore. Eventually, he has a temper tantrum about it, taking a horse and wagon to a nearby lake, where he plans to kill himself. Right before he can do so, though, what should appear but that lucky little necklace -- also known as the Behelit. The Behelit enables Griffith to summon the God Hand -- a group of "angels", all powerful beings, that will grant him power in exchange for a sacrifice.

Have you guessed what the sacrifice is? Yep, that's right: It's the entire remaining Band of the Hawk, who are still fiercely devoted to him. The Eclipse, as it's called, begins: a horrified event where a pocket dimension appears to trap them all and have them eaten by demons. Other than one lucky guy who happened to be lost in the forest, pretty much the entire Band of the Hawk gets eaten alive.

Except, of course, Guts and Casca. Now that the sacrifice is complete, Griffith transforms into an "angel" like the other God Hand, and after regaining his powers, chooses to command a demon to hold Guts down to watch as he horrifically rapes Casca in front of him, because he's the absolute fucking worst. They are saved by an entity known only as Skull Knight, who jumps into the pocket dimension to grab them and bring them back into the real world to recover. Unfortunately, although they are alive, the both of them are marked with the Brand -- a small symbol that contains a powerful curse that lures demons and spirits to them.

BLACK SWORDSMAN ARC

So, what the fuck does one do after ... well ... that? Guts has no idea, other than kill Griffith. Casca, on the other hand, was so traumatized by the event (and who could blame her!) that she regresses to the mind of a child, barely able to speak or comprehend what's going on around her. After a horrifying incident where she gives birth to a half-developed fetus (she had been pregnant by Guts, but something about what happened during the Eclipse brought the fetus to life? I don't know, this shit is weird as fuck, but it's important for later which is why I'm including it). Casca tries to hold it and let it nurse, but since it's been corrupted by Griffith and is thereby considered a demon, it disappears when the sun rises.

Unsurprisingly, Guts is intrinsically linked to Casca's trauma, and seeing him upsets her. A weaponsmaker and his daughter that he had been training with prior to his return agree to take care of her while he goes out into the world, and, well ... kills stuff. Now that he's provided with a cool sword and a prosthetic crossbow-cannon arm thanks to Godo, the weaponmaker, what could possibly go wrong?

Now that he has the Brand, demons are attracted to him every night. This is great for Guts, a dude who doesn't know how to express the pain and trauma of the Eclipse in any other way except swinging his stupid sword around like a goddamn idiot and almost dying constantly. He wanders from place to place looking for demons to fight and kill, eventually discovering that there are more powerful demons out there known as "Apostles" who carry their own Behelit, which he has now recognized is linked to wherever the fuck Griffith went off to. He obsessively hunts these things down hoping it will help him find Griffith in order to kill him. There's just one problem: Griffith is now an all-powerful demon, and the pain that emanates from the Brand when encountering something that powerful is EXTREME. Griffith can kick his ass any time, any place, without even really lifting a finger, which just pisses Guts off even more.

Sometime during this murderquest, Guts runs into a fairy (known as elves in the Berserk universe) named Puck. Puck is a good boy, although a little bit stupid, and serves as the comic relief during this extremely brutal and shitty time in Guts's life. Although Guts is initially resistant to having this good boy follow him around, he eventually relents as Puck has minor healing magic and also just won't go away, dammit. Puck starts to get an idea of what he's been through via empathetic elf powers, and the two of them actually form a pretty strong bond as they travel together.

Eventually, Guts's equipment has worn the fuck out from all the murdering he's been doing, so he decides to head back to Godo's place. There, he also comes across Rickert, the only other surviving member of the Band of the Hawk. He's glad to see Rickert is alive, but unfortunately, they inform him that Casca ran away a few weeks ago and they still can't find her. Rickert tries to get what the FUCK happened to them out of Guts, but he keeps his mouth shut, not ready to talk about it. After he gets some repaired gear, he goes back out to find Casca to bring her back to Godo's.

CONVICTION ARC

Wherever Guts goes, misfortune follows (and also that fucking fetus from earlier, why), which has not escaped the notice of the primary religion of the Berserk world. The Holy Iron Chain Knights, led by Farnese, are on the case of trying to find the prophesized Hawk of Darkness -- the omens he's been leaving behind seem to indicate he's a Really Bad Guy (which, like, fair). They track Guts down and successfully capture him (thanks to him having been up for like three days straight). This wouldn't be the worst thing ever, except Farnese is an extreme zealot with a penchant for sadomasochism. She goes out of her way to interrogate him, which basically just translates to her screaming and whipping Guts with his shirt off until she gets turned on by it.

Religious people cannot see magical phenomena like elves, so it's easy for Puck to break Guts out of evangelic jail. However, as they're breaking out, the army catches on to what they're doing, and Guts ends up taking Farnese hostage to ensure he gets out of their camp safely. In the process, however, Farnese gets mixed up in some of Guts's regularly schedules nighttime demon killing. Terrified, she tries to run away, but ends up being possessed by a spirit that has her try to command Guts to kill her in a horrifying and sexy (? why, Miura) way. Fortunately, the sun is rising just as this happens, leaving Farnese spirit-free but also naked, humiliated and pissed off. Guts runs for it, and the Holy Iron Chain Knights pursue -- both for Farnese's honor and also because he's supposedly in direct opposition to what their religion stands for.

Both Farnese and Guts end up in the same place: Albion. There, Guts meets a kid named Isidro, whose idol is the famed and mysterious Captain of the Raiders of the Band of the Hawk. Not knowing Guts is the same person, he admires Guts's sword skills nonetheless and attempts to follow him to learn more about how to become a good swordsman, much to Guts's dismay (although in truth he sees his younger self in Isidro and it makes him uncomfortable). Eventually, however, he ends up relying on Isidro's help to track Casca down, who has somehow ended up in the care of a camp of prostitutes. However, before Guts can reach her, she gets nabbed by a group of pagans/heretics who believe she is a witch and wish to sacrifice her to the Great Goat (in reality, an Apostle).

Farnese, too, is led to this place. She's been hanging out with this priest guy who's even crazier than her, and after that night of demon slaying combined with how into torturing innocents this dude is, she's not really sure what to do. Still, heretics are heretics and she goes after Casca too, thinking she is yet another witch to burn (yeah, she's done a lot of that ... whoops). Eventually, in order to rescue Casca, Guts ends up engaged in an all-out battle against the priest, who also turns out to be a horrifying Apostle, causing the massive tower they battled on to fall and kill a shitload of people. After the battle is over and the others are able to escape, Farnese has to admit that maybe her way of life is wrong and Guts seems to have things more figured out than she does. She decides to follow after Guts, bringing her servant Serpico along with her (who, incidentally, is Not Happy About This Arrangement and has already tried to kill Guts multiple times for the way he's treated Farnese).

Remember that weird fetus? This comes into play now because thanks to all the shit going down, a weird little egg Apostle swallows the fetus and uses the power of a bunch of people dying to mature into a brand new human body for Griffith. Yes, that's right, this fucker is back in the human world and ready to do more stupid shit.

MILLENIUM FALCON ARC

Guts returns with Casca to Godo's, where his daughter Erica begs them to stay and live there instead of running around all the time. However, Griffith has come to visit, and Guts is Not Happy About It. Not only did he come to show off his new human body to piss of Guts, but he also goes out of his way to let Guts know that he doesn't give a single fuck about all the people he killed, showing emotion only towards Casca (which seems to be a result of the fetus used to create the body). Guts tries to kill him, but Griffith is able to easily evade him and escape.

However, in the process of escaping, Zodd (now Griffith's faithful servant) destroys the mine and Godo's house. It is clear that Guts and Casca can no longer stay there. He also finally reveals to Rickert what Griffith did to them. Rickert offers to accompany them on his quest for revenge against Griffith, but Guts refuses, saying Rickert could never hate Griffith completely. Puck offers a solution to where Guts and Casca can go that would be safe for them: his hometown of Elfhelm, a fairy paradise that would emanate enough protective energy to keep them safe from demons. So Guts decides to bring Casca there with Puck leading the way.

The problem is that keeping an eye on Casca and also killing stuff every night by himself ... really sucks! It's hard, and Casca doesn't have the mental capacity at this point to quite understand his instructions and why she needs to stay close. In fact, watching him fight demons all the time kind of scares the shit out of her, and he ends up having to put a literal leash on her to keep her from running away. Finally, the last straw that ruins what little positive relationship they have left is when Guts gets possessed by a spirit in a moment of weakness, causing him to strangle her and try to assault her.

Puck decides to lead Farnese, Serpico and Isidro back to where Guts is, in hopes that they could help him. At this point Guts is so depressed by how much Casca hates him and desperate for someone to keep him in check/keep that from happening again that he just kind of gives up and accepts the help, even though none of them are actually very good at fighting demons. Casca, at least, takes a liking to Farnese and Farnese becomes her caretaker.

On the way, Guts's New Party runs into an old guy whose village is being overrun by trolls. He's trying to find a witch that he met up with as a child in hopes that she can help him, since there's nothing else to be done, and these trolls are kidnapping their women and children by the dozens. Thanks to the fact that this new party has spent a lot of time fighting demons, they're actually able to help this guy pass through the barrier into the witch's domain, where they meet their final party member, Schierke. Schierke is a disciple of the witch Flora, and she's a sweet little sheltered cinnamon bun who's about to help explain a whole lot of shit to the party as well as do some wild and crazy shit with magic. She also has an elf buddy named Evarella. Flora agrees to make the gang some talismans that will tamper the effects of the Brand in exchange for helping Schierke help this old guy save the town.

They mostly are able to save the town, but the water spirit that Schierke called upon was a bit too powerful, and Farnese and Casca get swept away by the water. The others go after them, venturing into the troll's domain and eventually the Qliphoth, a horrifying part of the cave that blurs the line between the human world and the astral/demon world. Guts fights one of the God Hand that appears there (or tries to) as Schierke and Isidro rescue Farnese and Casca (as well as all the missing villagers, who are ... mostly alive). Guts makes it out of there, though not without sustaining a serious chest wound.

They head back to Flora's to report their success in saving the town, but unfortunately by the time they arrive, Apostles are attacking Flora's home by order of Griffith. Exhuasted, Guts is unable to put up much of a fight, but Skull Knight backs him up so that Schierke can give him a cursed artifact from Flora: the Berserker Armor. (Heyyy! We finally reached the title!) This armor basically uses magic to keep the wearer from feeling any pain while fighting, and if injuries like broken bones and etc. are sustained, it will stick into you to keep you together enough to keep going until you die. Perfect for Guts, who basically fought like that anyways!

With the help of the Berserker armor, Guts is finally able to fight back, but the overwhelming thrall of the armor makes him sort of lose his individual consciousness and just goes nuts killing everything. Schierke uses her magic to help him come back to his senses, and the party is able to escape while Flora uses the last of her power to hold the remaining Apostles off.

The party escapes to Vritannis, a seaside city, to allow Guts to recover after sustaining severe trauma due to the armor. While there, they run into Skull Knight again, who informs them that the King of Elfhelm may possess the magic to bring Casca's original self back. Now they have an even stronger motivation to go there! Elfhelm is an island, and now that they are near the sea, all they need to do is find a boat. Skull Knight also points out that using the Berserker armor is wearing on Guts -- his hair is turning white, he's beginning to have a hard time seeing and tasting. If they can make it to Elfhelm safely, hopefully he can stop wearing the armor and not totally destroy his body.

After witnessing the powers of magic that Schierke and Flora displayed, Farnese begs Schierke to start teaching her magic, much to Serpico's horror. Schierke agrees, and starts giving Farnese some minor lessons.

Before they head to the city, they run into Moonlight Boy, a strange child who does not speak. The child seems to be particularly interested in Guts and Casca, and although nothing is confirmed as of yet, speculation is that this is the spirit of Guts and Casca's child. The child helps Guts retain his consciousness when fighting in the Berserker armor and keeps him from attacking his own party. Farnese seems rather jealous of the child bringing the two together ... but the child disappears by the time the day rolls around.

In the city, their attempts to obtain a boat have failed. Wanting to be of some use, Farnese realizes that her father's residence is nearby and that she could go ask him for a boat. Unfortunately, due to her failure and disappearance at Albion, he's disappointed in her and tells her to shut up and do as she's told in his home from now on. Not knowing what else to do but obey, Farnese reluctantly allows herself to become trapped in the Vandymion home, not unlike her childhood. She confesses her worries to her brother, Magnifico, who cooks up a scheme to get her a boat and for him to win favor with his father. That scheme is getting Farnese hitched to his old buddy Roderick. However, this means that Farnese and Serpico will not return to the rest of the party, in order to get them that ship.

Guts thinks something smells fishy about all this. Farnese seemed really excited to learn magic, and no one can take care of Casca the way that she can. So he decides to bring the whole party to go see Farnese, after having Puck and Evarella do some recon. Serpico learns that Guts has come to see Farnese and challenges him to another duel, hoping to kill Guts so that he will stop interfering with Farnese and putting her life in danger (and, frankly, he is jealous of how much Guts was able to change Farnese for the better where he could not). However, Guts just barely wins in the duel, and the party discovers there are demon beasts nearby that are about to attack the party Farnese is at.

The gang swoops into the party to help kill demons, asking Farnese why she wanted to leave. In truth, Farnese did not want to leave them behind, and was only trying to be useful. In the chaos, Farnese uses magic to help protect her family, which horrifies her very religious family members and the armies that were attending the party. In the chaos, the party is able to make a run for it, joined now by Farnese's fiance Roderick and her brother Magnifico. Roderick agrees to take them to Elfhelm on the boat, saying he wants to display his best side for the woman he loves (Farnese). After fighting off some more Apostles on the docks, the party is finally able to board Roderick's ship and set sail for Elfhelm.

FANTASIA ARC

While on the sea, the Blast of the Astral World occurs. This is an event caused by the battle between Griffith vs Skull Knight and one of the Apostles that would defy Griffith, causing a tear that allows creatures and spirits in the Astral World to now come into the world of the living regularly (rather than only through smaller, magical means). This creates a magical tree called the World Spiral Tree, upon which the city of Falconia magically appears -- part of Griffith's plan to become king of everything ever, as this city becomes a refuge for humans who are now plagued by all the weird shit happening around them now that the Astral and Human World are joined. By this point Griffith has also conveniently scooped up the Pope and the Princess Charlotte to come hang out with him and verify that he is basically the King of this new world.

As far as they can tell on the sea, though, it was just kind a weird magical burst that caused more demons to appear, including the Sea God, a demon which Guts decides he needs to defeat in order for their passage to remain otherwise uninterrupted. With the help of some sweet mermaids (merrows), including another new party member, Isma, he's able to pierce the Sea God's heart to defeat him once and for all. As thanks for helping defeat the Sea God, the merrows agree to escort the ship the rest of the way to Elfhelm.

Finally, they arrive at Elfhelm. After dealing with a few traps laud on the outskirts of the island, they are recognized as friends of Puck's and guests who are then escorted to the main area of the island, where many witches live and study. They meet the King of Elfhelm, Danann, who has been waiting for them to arrive. Danann offers to help restore Casca's memories by sending Schierke and Farnese into her dreams to help pick up the pieces of her scattered consciousness to put her back together. They succeed in doing so, and ... maybe we'll find out what happens next in another year or so, thank you Miura for going on hiatus all the time :(
